Se ha instado al Chelsea a completar un fichaje sorpresa por Cristiano Ronaldo antes del Mundial de Clubes de 2025.
Los Blues anunciaron oficialmente el fichaje del delantero del Ipswich Town Liam Delap el miércoles por la noche, pero siguen buscando otro delantero centro tras el decepcionante final de la temporada 2024-25 de Nicolas Jackson.
El internacional senegalés solo marcó un gol en sus últimas 15 apariciones en la Premier League de la campaña y el Chelsea ahora está en conversaciones avanzadas para fichar a la estrella del Eintracht Frankfurt, Hugo Ekitike.
Sin embargo, el ex mediocampista de los Blues, John Obi Mikel, le ha dicho a su antiguo club que busque un movimiento ambicioso por Ronaldo.
El contrato actual del jugador de 40 años con Al-Nassr vence el 30 de junio y, aunque se informa que está a punto de firmar un nuevo acuerdo, los rumores de una salida en verano siguen abundando después de que publicara una publicación críptica en las redes sociales a fines de mayo.
Ronaldo ha sido fuertemente vinculado con una posible transferencia a un club que compita en el renovado Mundial de Clubes durante el verano, en medio de rumores de interés de Al-Hilal y Botafogo, pero Mikel cree que el Chelsea debería presentar una oferta por sus servicios.

“Ronaldo is an amazing player,” Mikel told talkSPORT. “He’s an all-time goal scorer so it would be great to see him also participate in this tournament.
“Do we need him at Chelsea? Of course we do. We need a number nine, but I think everybody knows the number nine that I want us to get [Victor Osimhen] and we’re not getting him.”

When asked if would like Ronaldo at Chelsea, Mikel added: “I’d like to, but obviously we think [we know] where he might be going.
“Obviously there’s this 10 day period of transfer window that’s been open just for the tournament for clubs to get one or two players into their teams, to build their team for the FIFA World Cup tournament.
“So for me, I think it might be Al-Hilal he might go to.
“They’re trying to make sure they get him to the tournament, which is going to be good for the tournament for the fans, for football lovers to see Ronaldo and Lionel Messi again compete in another club World Cup tournament – it’s amazing.”
